We are looking to recruit two scientists/engineers with very good qualifications and with some or possibly all the following skills:

• Experience in digital design: DSP, PIC, FPGA and experience with VHDL.
• Analogue design: op-amp signal conditioning to 100 MHz, power amplifiers, ADC stages.
• PCB CAD design.
• Experience in physics, maths and ultrasound applications.
• Experience of Matlab, Simulink, RealTimeWorkshop, including the design of DSP and/or FPGA systems.
• Experience with signal processing including artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms and communications.
• PC Windows software development experience in C++ with MFC, VB and DSP software such as C/C++ and assembler.
• Mathematical and numerical modelling skills, FE experience.
• Experience with high-speed photography and optics.

Ideally, you would have the following education:

• A good class of degree in physics or electronic engineering or computing.
• Ideally, a PhD in a related discipline.
• Some years post-graduate experience developing the key skills, preferably in a commercial environment.

Cambridge Ultrasonics is based in a quiet, rural location a few miles outside Cambridge. With strong links with Cambridge University we provide a highly specialised service to clients in the fields of: medical electronics, novel ultrasonic instruments and microwaves.

As well as an attractive salary and a friendly working environment we can offer a flexible working pattern. Some infrequent foreign travel may be necessary.
