Cambridgeen has a deliberately small core staff. The city of Cambridge, with its university, and the surrounding area have many highly skilled experts covering a wide range of subjects. Our strategy is to bring-in suitable experts on projects when necessary.

Chief Executive

David R Andrews
BSc, MSc, PhD, MInstPhys, CEng

David studied Mathematics and Physics as a joint BSc degree at Bristol University. He also studied the Physics of Materials to MSc level there. He went to Cambridge University to study for a PhD by research and stayed-on after gaining the degree on a research fellowship. He went to work for British Petroleum to work on coordinating arctic research projects before joining Oxford Instruments as a senior R&D engineer. He joined the research staff at King's College London building an ultrasonic research group. While working at King's College he founded what is now Cambridgeen and Cambridge Ultrasonics Ltd.

David became interested in electronics at the age of 10. He repaired radios and hi-fi systems as well as building circuits while still at school. His research activities have covered a wide field, nearly always requiring electronic instrumentaton, and he now has many years of experience in R&D.
